Live at the Metro!

maxresdefault

For the second time in a week, Metallica played a surprise show at a small venue. Metallica stopped at the Metro in Chicago, IL the night of September 20 and sold tickets for $19.83, a reference to the last year they played the venue. The previous show took place on September 16 at the The Independent in San Francisco, CA.

"THAT was way too much fun last week as we finally played in front of real live fans for the first time in over two years in our hometown of San Francisco," said the band. "So why not do it again. This time we're in Chicago and we'll be hitting the stage at the storied Metro on Clark Street tonight… our first time back there since 1983!!"

The setlist was as follows:

  1. Whiplash
  2. Ride The Lightning
  3. Harvester Of Sorrow
  4. Cyanide
  5. Through The Never
  6. One
  7. Sad But True

  11. Whiskey In The Jar
  12. Fade To Black
  13. Master Of Puppets
