Footage Surfaces of SLIPKNOT Rehearsing "People = S***" in 2000

slipknot unmasked footage

For somebody who has always wondered what it would be like to see Slipknot perform without their masks, now that I see what it's like, I don't think I need it.

Footage has surfaced from an unmasked rehearsal in 2000 of the band working through "Spit It Out." Everybody is in their casual wear and just getting through the song, but one thing is clear – without the masks, without the lighting and the stage magic, the presence of Slipknot is just not there.

Either way, the footage is a really fun viewing. Watch it below.

Slipknot is currently working on a new album that Crahan has called "God music" and compared its sound to the band's 2001 album Iowa. Taylor has also chimed in about the new material, saying the new stuff has "made me start thinking outside my own box and challenging myself." The new album will likely be Slipknot's final effort for Roadrunner, and the band is hoping to have it out by the end of the year.
