Witherfall's upcoming album Nocturnes and Requiems is an extremely bittersweet affair. While the single below is a fantastic way to get people hooked on the band's new music, it's also the final album drummer Adam Sagan (Circle II Circle, ex-Into Eternity) performed on before he succumbed to lymphoma earlier this month.
"End Of Time," and hopefully the rest of the album, is a great way to remember Sagan musically. It's a catchy song that goes through a lot of different styles, yet seems to always focus on the musicianship and songwriting talents of its performers.
Outside Sagan, Witherfall consists of vocalist and keyboardist Joseph Michael (ex-White Wizzard), guitarist Jake Dreyer (Iced Earth, ex-White Wizzard), and bassist Anthony Crawford. Nocturnes and Requiems is out February 10, and can be pre-ordered here.
