Here it is, the first teaser or Periphery's sophomore release, Periphery II, which is set for release on July 3rd. We get a whopping two minutes of new material, a flashy logo, and a peek at the cover art. It sounds great so far.
Like I've said in the past, I managed to hear a few tracks from the album while hanging out with the band during the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest and it sounds really really crunchy. There is a great thump to the record, if that makes any sense, and of course, the production is out of this world great. Spencer really steps it up vocally and the overall songwriting seems much tighter, as the band knows what direction it's going in and hits it full force.
The band will no doubt be playing new materail while on the Summer Slaughter tour which kicks off in July, with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried and Me, The Faceless, Veil of Maya, Exhumed, Goatwhore and more. Dates can be found right here.
