Rush is getting back into the beer game with a brand new brew called Xanabrew. The title and label for the beer are references to Rush's 1977 album A Farewell to Kings and song "Xanadu", while the beer itself is out this June. Pre-orders are available here in the United States and here in Canada.
"Xanabrew is a Belgian Golden Strong Ale brewed with Freeze-Dried Honeydew Melon, Huell Melon Hops & Niagara Riesling Juice," explains Rush. "Complex & delicate with notes of apple, pear, stone fruit, honey dew, citrus, and spice (sage, cracked black pepper). This beer finishes dry, which allows the esters and phenolic characters to take centre stage."
In other Rush news, the band, recently celebrated 40 years of their album Signals with a super deluxe version featuring a new cover by Hugh Syme and the 2015 remastered audio on vinyl for the first time ever. The deluxe version of Signals also features:
- A Blu-ray Audio disc with brand-new Dolby Atmos & 5.1 surround mixes by Richard Chycki, the 2015 48kHz 24-bit stereo remaster, animated visualizers, and bonus music videos for "Subdivisions" and "Countdown."
