Actor and noted metal fan Jason Momoa recently turned 41 and got a custom-made Fender Precision Bass as a gift. The bass was delivered by Fender’s Custom Shop Master Builder Vincent Van Trigt and, upon opening the case, Momoa immediately busted out Red Hot Chili Peppers' version of "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder.
Mamoa is a big rock and metal guy. He was spotted at the final Slayer gigs last year, hung out with Slayer and Anthrax backstage, had members of Archspire in his show, and even used Tool as an inspiration for one of his acting roles.
Perhaps Mamoa can cover some Archspire now.
