The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus Loves SLAYER, Jams With ANTHRAX

I stopped watching The Walking Dead (can't stand Rick), but when I did watch it, Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon was always my favorite character on the show. And, it's easy to see why Reedus is my favorite actor from the show off-set as well. It's because Reedus is a true and tried metalhead.

Reedus is total BFFs with Mastodon's Brent Hinds, getting matching Lemmy tattoos with the guitarist a few months ago, and last night, Reedus continued showing off his metal cred by taking in a gig featuring Slayer, Anthrax and Death Angel in Atlanta. Slayer shared the above photo on their Instagram page.

He was apparently backstage at the gig with make-up FX master Greg Nicotero and Anthrax posted this video of Reedus playing bass on "Indians." How cool is that?

As MetalSucks put it, he is far from an ironic scene tourist, like the ones seen popping up.

Slayer, Anthrax and Death Angel are on tour all month. Get dates here.
