We surprisingly have a good amount of content on Kim Karshian's dips into the metal scene – Kim has been seen in overpriced studded punk leather jackets and overpriced vintage Metallica t-shirts. Her husband, Kanye West proudly rocking a Megadeth t-shirt, or her sister Kylie wearing not just a Megadeth shirt but a Slayer t-shirt.
One person who was never a fan of the Kardashians was Slayer/Exodus guitarist Gary Holt.
Holt recently blasted the Kardashians after Kim posted this comment on Twitter:
It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas.

I’ve watched these companies profit off my husband’s work for years and now that it’s also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent.

Holt responded on Instagram saying "So says this dumb fuck from a dumb fuck family with THE longest history of ripping off designers on this earth. Like when they thought NOTHING of taking musicians album covers WITHOUT permission and slapping their faces over them for 120 dollar T shirts, or buying one of each design by a designer (paper trail leading straight to them) then copying them, down to the last thread."
What is Holt talking about? Kim Kardashian's younger sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner tried to launch a fashion line where they screen-printed their faces on top of iconic metal and hard-rock t-shirt designs, but it was immediately pulled when the musicians who they co-opted without permission threatened lawsuits.
Holt famously printed a line of "Kill the Kardashians" t-shirts, which are still available for purchase.
