Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann just released his and Pain's Peter Tägtgren album Skills In Pills under the Lindemann name. In case you weren't sure if it was going to be a bunch of weirdly perverse sex lyrics and… more of that same thing, surprise! It is. Now Lindemann, the man, sat down with Rolling Stone for an interview and gave some pretty interesting and revealing answers about his love life. For example, one time some groupie asked nicely to pinch a loaf on Lindemann's stomach.
There was once this girl who wished to shit on my belly …Â She offered me a "praline," one of those little chocolate pieces that they make in France, with truffles and stuff, the delicacies. She prepped in words more poetic and more romantic. Not like, "Can I shit on your forehead?" [Laughs] She said it really politely. "Can I offer you a praline?"
Or about how "Ladyboy" isn't about an experience he's had, but one he wants.
Everybody expects me to say, "I went to Thailand." It's just a strange little fantasy. It's really funny when you let people think for themselves and open up their minds …Â No, it's a wish. And, in a way, I'm jealous of these people because they have both. Like, when it comes to food, if you have lobster and meat, you have surf and turf [laughs]. And it's the best. So you have both sides. You know what I mean?
Oh! Or why the album's name is Skills In Pills, which is actually a much more interesting and revelatory answer than I had expected.
This comes from the old days. In East Germany, we had no access to drugs at all. It was the socialist thing; it was totally forbidden. And even if you wanted some and you had the money, there was no access at all. So we made ourselves cocktails from pills and medications. You need skills to prepare the right cocktail. Otherwise, you can die or go stupid forever or become a Mongol [laughs]. Like never come back from the trip. So it's from the old days in East Germany.
I'll leave you on a positive note here- Lindemann is talking about making new music! Well, at least a chorus is written, to which Till gives us the lyrics in the interview.
Today we tried to come up with a new chorus: "I'm too drunk to lick your rim."
Till Lindemann- he's exactly the animal of a man you thought he was and in no way, shape or form is that a bad thing at all.
