This whole mess is just getting dirtier. Earlier this week, Tommy Lee and his 21-year-old son Brandon Lee, got into an altercation where the younger Lee punched his father and gave him a fat lip.
Yesterday, Brandon called his father an alcoholic. Tommy Lee responded by saying he definitely enjoys his fair share of drinking but he has it under control, and that his son is making up the story to cover his ass. This resulted in Mama Bear, Pamela Anderson stepping in to make a statement.
Anderson told TMZ that Tommy Lee is a "disaster spinning out of control." She says her ex-husband still cannot handle the guilt of his abusive behavior, which of course she brought up on a TV interview last week, which most believe is the catalyst for this entire argument.
As for Anderson's take on what happened between her son and his father:
She says Tommy Lee is "consistently the centre of sadness, drama and confusion, jealous of his son's talent and beauty from the day they were born. He is sick. The definition of narcissist/sociopath."
She says he is constantly drunk and Brandon was putting together an intervention with "friends and people Tommy works with and admired."
"He [Brandon] punched him in the nose for all of us who he has hurt. Now Tommy feels humiliated – and is attempting to destroy his own son. This is the Devil – This is the disease of alcoholism."
TMZ reached out to Tommy Lee for a response and once again he denied being an alcoholic, although, maybe he didn't?
"Do I drink more than the average Joe? Yes. Have I ever hurt my sons or acted out of turn with them because of my drinking? No." He adds, "No matter how much people wanna pin me as this deviant alcoholic abuser, that isn't me. I'm a happy fun loving guy."
So he readily admits he drinks more than "the average Joe" and then goes on to say what a happy and fun loving guy he is.
Lee also rejected Anderson's take on the story of his son punching him.
"When I stood up he pushed me into a wall. I didn't want to hit my son. I never have and I never will." He says he simply wanted Brandon to apologize "to show that he actually felt bad, but he doesn't." He also thinks his sons haven't had to struggle — "I want them to get jobs, not their inconsistent modeling and acting work here and there that doesn't make enough money for them to survive."
"Because I was on tour working; making money to pay for their private schools and their cars, and their future, so they spent time with their mother. She became the hero. And I've come to peace with that."
Obviously, I do not have the former couple's financials on hand but that seems like some serious shade to imply that only he, Tommy Lee, provided the funds for his kid's schooling and Pamela Anderson, who had a very successful career all her own, had nothing to do with it.
Regardless, its sad that this family drama is playing out in the public sphere, and we hope everybody can come to their senses.
