Last year, some musical genius combined Slipknot's "Psychosocial" with 18 year old pop star Justin Bieber's "Baby" into a pretty impressive mashup. While I am not to judge one for their personal musical tastes, a Justin Bieber fan I am not. But this was a good mashup.
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor is also a fan, saying that he's invited Biebz to perform the mashup in person.
In a new interview with Revolver, Taylor says he tried to get Biebz up on stage with him:
"I know Justin wasn't responsible for it, but I just thought it was so cool. Everybody thought I'd be pissed about it, but I was blown away… I give him respect. He's a very talented kid and he goes above and beyond for his fans. I was in Baltimore on my book tour and Justin was nearby in Washington, DC. I tried to get him down to my reading because I wanted to try to do an acoustic version of Psychosocial Baby together. But he was actually visiting children's hospitals. You can't say anything bad about a guy who's visiting children's hospitals."
Do you think this mashup is worthy of a live performance? Not that it would ever happen, but how do you feel about Bieber on stage with Slipknot?
