There are always stories of celebrities leaving really good tips. Jerry Seinfeld famously leaves $100 tips for his $20 sandwiches, because what's $100 to him? He probably treats hundreds the way us normal folk look at pennies.
Looks like Sid Wilson abides by such philosophies as well. Wilson, who is on tour with Slipknot in Europe at the moment, stopped by Sheffield, England's Cubana jazz club over the weekend and took in a performance from 70-year-old pianist Ralph Salt. Wilson allegedly spent six hours taking in the music at the venue, and even hopped on to the piano for some tunes of his own.
When all was said and done Wilson tipped the 70-year-old pianist a whopping 100 euros, about $112 US, which the pianist claims was the largest tip he'd ever received:
"Sid was a real gentleman and couldn't have been further removed from his SLIPKNOT persona. He was very appreciative of my performance and even asked me to play my choice of sentimental song as an encore. I thought a Joe Cocker song was the perfect choice, given his recent passing, and Sid listened intently throughout.
"It's fair to say I was presented with the biggest tip I've ever had in my career and it couldn't have come from a more unlikely candidate!"
