Mom Didn't Approve Of Kids Watching PRIMUS Videos So She Shot Her TV

This mom REALLY takes the "Primus Sucks" catchphrase to heart.

This mom REALLY takes the "Primus Sucks" catchphrase to heart.

One woman took the catchphrase "Primus sucks" quite literally.

A 40-year-old Woodstock, IL woman, Jennifer S. Ullery, was upset with how much TV her kids were watching and especially upset that they were watching Primus videos. I guess asking politely to turn it off and go outside was out of the equation because Jennifer decided to pull out a Ruger .22 long rifle and shot her TV, shattering the 50-inch Panasonic flatscreen TV.

Her children, aged 15, 11, and 6, sat stunned at what happened. One of the children were quoted as saying “Mom didn’t say anything, she just walked into the room and started shooting the TV.”

Ullery was eventually arrested and charged with discharge of a firearm, a felony and four misdemeanor offenses: possession of a firearm without a FOID and three counts of endangering the life of a child. According to the Northwest Herald, Ullery posted $1,500 bond and has plead not guilty to all charges. This is apparently not the first domestic dispute at the home, and the children have been placed in the care of another relative.

ThePRP reports that Les Claypool has commented on the matter saying:

“It doesn’t surprise me, I’ve been tempted to shoot at the TV when our videos come on as well. Especially that damn Beaver video”

Back in my day, we just told kids to go outside and play, not shoot the TV.
