This week marked the official beginning of Fall. While the weather is starting to suck, heavy music is starting to ramp up it's Fall schedule. With a ton of new releases on the way, there is a shitload of new music and music videos that surfaced this week. Take a look back at some of the highlights:
There was no shortage of awesome music videos released this week, including new clips from Mastodon, Opeth, The Devin Townsend Project, Dark Traquility, and Kvelertak.
We posted two new interviews this week: Rob spoke with Robb Flynn of Machine Head about Unto The Locust and also interviewed Dave from Weedeater about his favorite topic, weed!
We posted four incredible Revocation live clips: Conuring the Cataclysm | Across Forests and Fjords | Dismantle The Dictator | Unattained
There is another hilarious Andy Rhefeldt metal mashup, the latest to hit the interwebs is a latin-jazz cover of Pantera's "Domination"
We launched a new channel for live footage called Pit Full of Shit, featuring tons of grind and powerviolence live clips, including Weedeater, Magrudergrind, Despise You, Oxbow, Bison B.C., Defeatist and more.
This was a big week for side project announcements: We learned more about the Ben from Dillinger Escape Plan and Brent Hinds from Mastodon collaboration, Ben also revealed he has something in the works with Mike Patton, Paul from Between The Buried and Me and Chris from Lamb of God are working on some jams and we got our first (dissapointing) taste of what the Metallica/Lou Reed collaboration will sound like.
Mastodon made their whole album available for streaming a week before release, and we got new tracks from Wormrot, Animals As Leaders and Megadeth.
We posted some amazing photos from Bloodstock UK, including galleries for Motorhead, Immortal, MorbidAngel, At The Gates, Skeletonwitch, 1349 and more.
That's it for this week. While you have the weekend to re-energize, check out our Abysmal Dawn Fan Video Creation contest with some ridiculous prizes announced!
