Better known as their stage names Vorphalack and Xytras, I consider these 2 swiss brothers some of the most fearless trend setters in metal history. In 1994 Samael released Ceremony of Opposites, their satanic black/doom opus that blew our minds when it came out. They repeated this again in 1996 with Passage when they abandoned their drums and satanic messages, and decided to incorporated a dance-less version of industrial traits to create an even further unique black metal sound. They’re considered innovators of post-black metal for very good reason, and continue to do so today.
