Phil Anselmo Voices the Devil
There’s no question that Phil Anselmo is a horror fan. Next week, the Metal Legend will be hosting the Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin, Texas. The festival is a showcase of independent horror films. Phil champions independent horror filmmakers, and he once even lent his voice to one.
You may not have heard of the 2003 splatter pick The Manson Family. The fictionalized retelling of Charles Manson's infamous cult has been buried in the horror underground because of its bloody, brutal violence and Hippie-approved amount of sex and nudity. Who should voice the hallucinatory devil that tells the Manson family to start killing? In a rather fitting cameo, it’s the man who’s been the devil on metalheads' shoulders since the mid 90's: Phil Anselmo.
