"Fields Of Elation" – One EP (2016)
A slow burner for sure, but "Fields Of Elation" does a great job subtly building up its energy until it smacks you with a fantastic chorus. "Fields Of Elation" might be Sleep Token's most underrated track from their early days.
"Nazareth" – Two EP (2017)
I feel similarly about "Nazareth" as I do about "Fields Of Elation". Sleep Token takes their time, builds things up, and throws a perfectly-timed punch in slow motion. What's not to love about this song?
"Blood Sport" – Sundowning (2019)
A little less heavy, a little more on the side that Final Fantasy-sounding piano sound Sleep Token does so well. Good luck not having "I made loving you a blood sport" stuck in your head all day.
"Telomeres" – This Place Will Become Your Tomb (2021)
Sleep Token ballad! This song is so damn good. The rhythm section does an excellent job driving it along, the choruses hit perfectly, the jazzy solo is a nice addition, and yeah – "Telomeres" is criminally underrated. Shout out to its following track "High Water" as well. What a one-two punch.
"The Apparition" – Take Me Back To Eden (2023)
Take Me Back To Eden has gotten a ton of love over the past few years, but "The Apparition" seems to constantly fall through the cracks. From its hip hop verses to punch-in-the-gut culmination roughly two minutes in, "The Apparition" is a sleeper for sure.
