In case the title wasn’t a dead giveaway, Municipal Wastes’ entire Born To Party album qualifies for this list. To be fair to everyone else in the metal community, and because “Beer Pressure” features the sweetest homage to Iron Maiden’s “Revelations” around, I’ve decided to go with just one of the album’s many historic party anthems.

Lamb of God are easily the biggest metal band of the modern area. They headline arenas, are the subjects of on the road documentaries and feature films alike; and as the video for their 2006 single “Redneck” demonstrates, they even crash birthday parties! This here author’s b-day is creeping up in August guys, feel free to send Lamb of God and any inflatable pools you may encounter my way!

Summer madness, like space dementia in Armageddon, can cause it’s victims to think and say all kinds of crazy shit. After prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, clean air, plus lots of booze and Trap Them music, one might begin to experience an inflated sense confidence, bravado and damn near invulnerability. Warning, hunting for your Space Coyote/spirit guide in the desert while shouting “I am that goddamn son of bitch!” is endemic of severe summer madness. Then again, rocking out to Trap Them isn’t usually considered normal behavior anyways now is it?

Norway’s finest punkified metal exports have crafted the perfect heavy metal karaoke jam. “Blodtørst” is a catchy number with energy and hooks to spare. Not to mention the cool piano key outro and you know, it’s not sung in English. No need feeling self-conscious when it comes to nailing this tune at next weekend’s The Cable Guy inspired karaoke jamboree, everyone’s in the same boat!
