The 59th annual GRAMMYs are now in the record books, and just based on the amount of posts I've written in the last 24 hours, it was the most metal-friendly GRAMMYs in a long time.
Megadeth took home the Best Metal Performance GRAMMY. Watch their speech here. Unfortunately, Gojira lost both awards they were nominated for, but for them, I'm sure it was just an honor to be nominated. And, in the most controversial category, Disturbed didn't end up losing to Beyonce for "Best Rock Performance," that award went to David Bowie. The talk of the night though was Metallica's performance with Lady Gaga, which got off to a rocky start, but in the end, both entities delivered strong. Watch that performance here. But let's talk about the red carpet.
All the bands tried to look their best when heading out to what's billed as Music's Biggest Night. Megadeth looked pretty swanky both before and after their win:

But I think Gojira win best dressed:
Not to be outdone, Baroness got all swanky, commenting "This is quite literally the nicest we've ever looked."
Korn came out in their finest dark attire as well. Notably missing is vocalist Jonathan Davis, but Munky's kid is the true MVP here:
And of course, Metallica walked the carpet with Lady Gaga and they owned that shit:
