Ozzy Osbourne was recently in Alamagordo, New Mexico filming the third season of Ozzy & Jack's World Detour when he and his kids needed a ranch to film at. They ended up getting in touch with Alamagordo Chamber of Commerce Executive Director GB Oliver. After the filming, Oliver tells The Alamagordo News that he was talking with Ozzy and joked about him joining the Chamber, to which Ozzy of course said he'd do it.
“I wanted to ask Ozzy Osbourne to join the Chamber of Commerce and the producers kind of laughed and said it’s up to him,” Oliver said. “After they finished filming a camping scene, the producers said Ozzy wanted to see me in his RV. Ozzy told me he appreciated all this and how pretty it was out here. I said there was only one thing he had to do now and that was to join the Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce. Without hesitation, he said ‘done,’ and signed the card.”
Oliver adds that the family was a ton of fun to film with, which makes sense because they're the Osbournes. There's almost no way anything about any of that shoot was even remotely sane or tame.
“I don’t know what ends up on the cutting floor but they were very nice people. I enjoyed meeting all three of them,” Oliver said. “All the people associated with them were very nice, it must’ve been about 40 people in the crew and security. I’ve done this kind of thing before. This is the nicest group of people I’ve ever dealt with.”
Now if we could just get Zakk Wylde to take up a position in the town too. Maybe as the mayor?
