Rock at the GRAMMYs 2018 Report: All The Winners & Red Carpet Photos

It was a night of celebration for some rock and metal bands.

It was a night of celebration for some rock and metal bands.

We already know that Mastodon won the Best Metal Performance Grammy, but how did the rest of the night shape up for the worlds of metal and rock?

Ice T and Body Count had an incredible performance during the pre-show, even though it was marred by some technical difficulties, and there were a few rock awards given out during the show. Interesting to note that Metallica was shut out of all of their Grammy noms. Here's the breakdown:

Best Metal Performance:
August Burns Red – “Invisible Enemy”
Body Count – “Black Hoodie”
Code Orange – “Forever”
Mastodon – “Sultan’s Curse” WINNER
Meshuggah – “Clockworks”

Best Rock Performance:
Leonard Cohen – “You Want It Darker” WINNER
Chris Cornell – “The Promise”
Foo Fighters – “Run”
Kaelo – “No Good”
Nothing More – “Go To War”

I can't exactly tell what the difference is between Best Performance and Best Song, but in Best Rock Song, we got nominees like the aforementioned Metallica and Nothing More, as well as Foo Fighters and Avenged Sevenfold.

Best Rock Song:
Metallica – “Atlas, Rise!”
K.Flay – “Blood in the Cut”
Nothing More – “Go to War”
Foo Fighters – “Run” WINNER
Avenged Sevenfold – “The Stage”

Finally, the Best Rock Album category has been INFESTED with some heaviness as both Mastodon and Queens of the Stone Age join Metallica, Nothing More and The War On Drugs

Best Rock Album:
Mastodon – Emperor of Sand
Metallica – Hardwired…To Self-Destruct
Nothing More – The Stories We Tell Ourselves
Queens of the Stone Age – Villains
The War on Drugs – A Deeper Understanding WINNER
