Last night's (Monday, April 26th) episode of The Voice on NBC got an extra dose of hard rock, in the form of a pretty fun cover of Soundgarden's classic hit "Black Hole Sun." (Side note: it makes me feel extremely old that "Black Hole Sun" is now technically in the classic rock category).
Back on topic, contestant Savanna Woods delivered quite a powerful rendition of the grunge hit on the show. She is facing elimination later in the week, but with a performance like this, it's hard to see how she will be cut.
This was the second time this month that Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" was on a singing competition show. The song was also covered on an episode of Americal Idol a few weeks back. Watch that performance here.
