Our friends at Rock Feed made a great point: there was more rock last night at the Academy Awards than on the main show of the GRAMMYs. How sad is that? The 91st Academy Awards opened with a great quick medley from Queen of their two biggest hits: "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions."
Of course, Freddy Mercury wasn't there to perform but Adam Lambert did a bang up job filling in for him and bringing Hollywood's elite to their feet to kick off the ceremony:

It was pretty surreal watching some big time celebrities rocking out like this was their first concert. Although, Javier Bardem has clearly been to a rock show before:

He's even been GIF'd:
Lady Gaga was seen rocking out as well for a brief moment:
Jordan Peele and his wife Chelsea Peretti were also bemused by the performance:
Bradley Cooper, who had his own performance later in the night was impressed:
Meanwhile, Christian Bale was like "can we get on with it already?"
As Freddie Mercury was shown on the screen behind the band at the end of the performance, Mike Myers and Dana Carvey couldn't help but fanboy out:
The movie, Bohemian Rhapsody, took home four Academy Awards including Best Actor for Rami Malek for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury. The film also won three technical awards, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing.
