Slayer is celebrating 30 years since it released its iconic Reign In Blood album this year. In honor of the album, the band has put up a pre-order for a commemorative plaque of the album. the plaque includes a signed setlist, reproduced concert stub, and more. The kicker? It's $500, if you've got that to spend on Slayer right now.
18"x 24" collectible plaque commemorating the 30th anniversary of Reign in Blood. This will only be made once in a limited edition of 50 and a limited quantity remain. The plaques contain a certificate of authenticity plate that is numbered. The setlist reproduction portion is signed by Tom Araya and Kerry King. The cover artwork within the frame is 12"x12" and from the original vinyl album cover. This plaque also contains a reproduction of a concert ticket stub from the November 3, 1986 show.
You can pre-order it here, but I have a few concerns about the plaque. First of all, is the "Setlist" going to look like it was done in Microsoft Word and printed out? The stub is cool enough for diehard fans, and the album art is too, but man… I really don't think this is worth $500. it's basically three pieces of paper, a frame, a little metal name tag, and whatever the backing material is.
