Slayer fans love their Slayer merch and the band has no problem complying. In the past they've made candy jars, St. Patrick's Day shirts, rings, statues, beer steins and even a car.
With their new album, Repentless, on the way, the band took "limited edition" packaging to a new level with the "Metal Eagle" edition of the album, featuring the classic Slayer eagle logo, weighing in at 7 pounds of pure diecast metal. Its measurements are listed as 15" wide, 17" tall and 3" deep, and it can be hung if desired.
There are only 3,000 of these being made and they're available for pre-order for $179.99. So, if you have two Benjamins burning a hole in your pocket, this seems like an okay way to blow it.
Slayer have released two new songs, "When The Stillness Comes" and "Implode" with their new album scheduled for release on Sept. 11, 2015.
