If there's ever been a way to tell the world that you've got way too much money and not nearly enough brain cells, this is it. Designer Yves Saint Laurent is selling a shirt with the artwork for Nirvana's 1992 compilation album Incesticide on it for a whopping £3,295 (roughly $4,239) and I cannot imagine anyone buying this for any other reason than telling other people how much it costs.
But hang on! Let's take a look at the product description. Maybe that'll explain to us why this shirt costs the same as a down payment on a brand new car. According to Yves Saint Laurent, the shirt is a "RELAXED FIT T-SHIRT DECORATED WITH A VINTAGE PRINT" and was "MADE IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." Yeah, that's the explanation you're getting for a shirt that'll run you a few months' rent. They might as well have just written "fuck you, you're paying for the tag" in the description and put a paywall on the website that makes you prove you make seven or eight figures yearly.
Look at the stupid thing here or just go to any major rock shirt retailer and find a very similar shirt for probably $20 or $30.
