Bring Me The Horizon released their new record Amo on January 25 of this year and are already looking toward the next record. Or the next few records, as vocalist Oli Sykes tells NME the band is plotting to release a series of shorter records in 2020.
“We’ve got plans, definitely. ‘Ludens‘ will be the first song you hear from the new record. We’re not going to do an album again, maybe ever. We’re thinking about doing shorter records. I don’t want to say we’re going to do something and not live up to it, but the plan is to release multiple records next year.”
So far we've just got the track "Ludens" from the Death Stranding soundtrack. The song title is in reference to the mascot of Kojima Productions, owned by Death Stranding mastermind Hideo Kojima. Sykes adds in an interview with BBC Radio 1 that "Ludens" was written in under a week and without guitarist Lee Malia, who was back home with his newborn child.
Tonight @AnnieMac has the first play of brand new music from @BMTHOfficial, as well as an exclusive interview with @olobersyko ??
