Dark Numbers is releasing their debut record If It Was It Would Be So on May 24 and I personally could not be more stoked to premiere the new single "Secret Owner Of All Gold." The song covers everything from eerie atmospheres to massive, chunky riffs underlying earworm vocals, making for one hell of a package. Plus for a song that's nearly seven minutes long, Dark Numbers sure makes it feel way shorter than that.
Dark Numbers is Ben Stoller (Hot Victory), Dan O’Hara (Humours, ex-IX), Kirk Evans (ex-Sioux, Lord Dying), Natalie Lucio (ex-Poison Idea, ex-Cliterati, Vueltas). If It Was It Would Be So was recorded by Fester with the assistance of Andrew Grosse at Caravan Recordings in Portland, OR, save for the song "The Mariner" recorded by Dan O’Hara at Plural Mural. All songs were mixed by Fester in his Hypercube and mastered by Stephan Hawkes (Burning The Masses, Vitriol) at Interlace Audio. You can pre-order the record here and catch Dark Numbers at their release show on May 24 at Tonic Lounge in Portland, OR.
Do yourself a favor and blast "Secret Owner Of All Gold."
