Acclaimed death metal unit Gatecreeper will release their sophomore effort Deserted on October 4. The band has announced the record with a brand new track titled "Boiled Over", which they say channels the groove of bands like Obituary or Crowbar.
"The first song from Deserted we chose to share with the world is 'Boiled Over'. With this song, we tried to capture the melodic side of Bolt Thrower mixed with the crushing heaviness and groove of bands like Obituary or Crowbar. There is a confident swagger to the song that any fan of heavy music can enjoy."
Deserted was co-produced and engineered by Ryan Bram (Gatecreeper, Spirit Adrift) at Homewrecker Studios, mixed by Kurt Ballou (High On Fire, Converge, Trap Them), and mastered by Brad Boatright (All Pigs Must Die, Bell Witch, Iron Regan). The artwork was done by Brad Moore (Tomb Mold, Morpheus Descends), and you can pre-order the record below.
The band's Adult Swim single "Anxiety" is available as a bonus track on some versions of the record.
