Lost In Kiev is now streaming their beautifully post-rock new single "Solastalgia" off their coming record Rupture. The song maintains an aura of melancholy throughout, almost as if it was meant to be set to a particularly somber scene. If you've got headphones, this one certainly feels suited for that.
"The concept of 'Solastalgia' is a pre-traumatic stress caused by the perception of irreversible changes in our environment," said Lost In Kiev. "As they move into a world that seems to be self-destructing, some people end up being overwhelmed with a suffocating sense of helplessness. It is through these swirling and melancholy melodies that we want to transcribe this feeling. 'Solastalgia' is the first single from the next album Rupture, an album to express how we feel about the breaking point between modern civilization and natural life."
Rupture is available for pre-order here.
