Legendary Canadian thrash band Razor is back with their first new record in 25 years, Cycle Of Contempt. The record is out on September 23 and you can check out the debut single "Flames Of Hatred" below. As you'd expect from Razor, it's nothing but thrashing riffs and a pissed-off punk attitude that'll take your head off just like the dude on the cover of the album.
"I tried to write songs that everybody could listen to and say, 'Yeah, I know a guy who's done that to me or done this, or I know that situation. I can relate to that,'" band founder Dave Carlo says. "And I didn't want to make everything specifically about me because when you do that, you exclude people. I wanted to include everyone that's ever felt pissed off about anything."
Razor is currently founding guitarist Dave Carlo and bassist Mike Campagnolo alongside vocalist Bob Reid, who performed on the band's final three records, and drummer Rider Johnson who joined in 2014. Pre-orders for Cycle Of Contempt are available here.
