With the arrival of lockdown in 2020, King Crimson main man Robert Fripp launched his Sunday Lunch video series, reinterpreting famous tracks by other artists with his wife, the singer and actress Toyah Willcox.
The series of renditions recorded in their kitchen quickly garnered a following in the neighborhood of six digits, success enough for them to consider taking their YouTube show on the road, with a set of UK dates happening at the end of this month and during October. But wait, there’s more.
During a recent interview with eonmusic, Toyah revealed that a movie taking the couple Sunday’s series as the main plot is becoming a reality after a professional video crew recorded their weekly antics.
"We have a documentary crew following us, and we have quite a big production company scripting an idea at the moment. Obviously, we won’t be in it. It’s for actors to play, but that’s all in the back kind of pool of what do you call pre-production. All of that’s going on."
When asked about what’s in store for them in the coming future, Toyah shared: "We're touring Sunday lunch, so that starts at the end of September, doing all kinds of main theatres around the UK, and then we're out again in the new year. So it's really busy. Trevor Horn has recorded and produced us on his new album. We've re-recorded 'Relax [Frankie Goes to Hollywood]', and that's out on the 1st of December."
