Andrew W.K. had a very interesting 2021. The man released his sixth studio album God Is Partying on September 10, 2021 after a handful of singles, announced a bunch of shows, and then disappeared. Andrew W.K. postponed all his shows, deleted his social media, and basically vanished.
Andrew W.K. originally let fans know via his now-deleted Facebook that he was postponing his 2021 tour to 2022, but would still play Furnace Fest. He wrote at the time: "Andrew W.K.’s 2021 tour dates are being rescheduled for 2022. All tickets for 2021 will be honored, and refunds will be available at the point of purchase through September 27th."
Then on September 25, the night before Furnace Fest, Andrew W.K. pulled out. The festival said his cancellation was "due to circumstances beyond our control." As of September 27, 2021 Andrew W.K. was off all social media and the tour dates never happened.
Then today, Andrew W.K. resurfaced online. Well, all because he got married to his now-wife (and actor) Kat Dennings. Who knows if Andrew W.K. is planning any sort of musical comeback anytime soon, or the dude is just off to enjoy a quieter married life. We're just stoked to see he's is alive and well.
