Rock and metal producer Chris Tsangarides has unfortunately passed away at the age of 61 on the morning of January 7. According to a statement published by his daughter Anastasia Tsangarides, Chris was suffering from pneumonia and heart failure at the time of his death.
Tsangarides produced quite a few albums for both Anvil and Thin Lizzy, as well as Black Sabbath's The Eternal Idol, Judas Priest's Painkiller and Sad Wings Of Destiny, Bruce Dickinson's Tattooed Millionaire, Exodus' Force Of Habit, King Diamond's Conspiracy, and quite a few more. Tsangarides also worked with Depeche Mode and Tom Petty.
I'm so saddened to hear of the passing of the Producer Chris Tsangarides – he has been a part of my life since the 70 when he worked as tape operator on the Sabbath album Sabotage and he's worked with me on lots of other albums and stuff. He'll be sadly missed. RIP my friend. pic.twitter.com/GPWTEilPSe
