Atreyu's new album Baptize features the band's new lineup of drummer and clean vocalist Brandon Saller on vocals only, while new drummer Kyle Rosa is filling Saller's spot behind the kit. Atreyu parted ways with vocalist Alex Varkatzas in September 2020, and it might not have helped their popularity.
According to Lambgoat, Baptize is the band's first album since their 2002 debut Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses not to land on the Billboard 200 chart. The record sold about "3,500 copies (2,700 in pure sales)", whereas their 2018 album In Our Wake sold 8,300 copies and Long Live in 2015 sold 15,000 copies. The band's best-selling record to date was A Death-Grip On Yesterday in 2006 with 70,000 copies.
Atreyu will hit the road starting on November 9 for their Baptize tour. The tour will include Crown The Empire, Tetrarch, Saul, and Defying Decay as the openers.
