The Metal Injection camp has been following the events of the Baroness UK bus crash very closely. We have reported about the events that happened during the crash and even the injuries sustained by the members of the band and their crew. All of this has been horrific and we have been waiting with baited breath for some good news, fortunately, it seems today is finally the time we can all safely exhale a sigh of relief.
It has been confirmed via the band's official Facebook page that the three most injured members of the band — John Baizley, Allen Blickle and Matt Maggioni — have been released from the hospital and two of the three have returned to the United States. The facebook post read:
John Baizley has been released from hospital. Allen and Matt have arrived back in the United States.
All remaining 2012 tour dates are canceled.
Thank you for all of the continued support.
Regardless of the fact that all 2012 tour dates have been cancelled, it is great to hear that all of the members have come through the ordeal without any fatalities, and that everyone is now healthy enough to leave the hospital. The band will obviously be spending the rest of the year healing their wounds. Our continued thoughts and good vibes are with them through this troubled time and we look forward to seeing them back out on the road as soon as possible. Hopefully as early as January 2013.
