Black Sabbath announced it would be definitively ending its tour, and career, with a handful of shows in Birmingham next February. It's the place where the band started and man, wouldn't it be great if Sabbath and Ward could just bury the damn hatchet for a few days and give the band a proper sendoff? Apparently not.
According to Bill Ward's camp, Ward will not be participating in the shows.
“A brief statement:
We have seen it reported in the news that Bill will be playing with Black Sabbath on The End tour in the UK. This is incorrect, and we wanted to make sure you heard it from us directly: Bill is not playing with Black Sabbath in the UK or on any other dates of The End tour.
As always, we thank you for all your support and understanding.
Rock forever.”
…maybe this is some kind of reverse psychology hype? Or Ward's faking us all out? Ultimately, I just don't want to believe that Black Sabbath would allow its career to end on a bit of a sour note… but here we are. Fuck.
