Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus revealed back in June that he was undergoing treatment for a type of blood cancer called Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Then in July, Hoppus let everyone know that the treatment was working and that hopefully after a few months he'd be in the clear. Which is exactly what happened.
Hoppus has now posted on Instagram that his oncologist declared him cancer free, and he'll be attending regular appointments to make sure it stays that way. We wish Hoppus all the best in his ongoing recovery, and congratulate him on the great news!
"Just saw my oncologist and I'm cancer free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love. Still have to get scanned every six months and it'll take until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?"
