BLOODBATH (PARADISE LOST, OPETH, Etc.) Is In The Studio Right Now

Prepare to bathe in blood.

Prepare to bathe in blood.

Bloodbath fans wait six years between 2008's The Fathomless Mastery and 2014's Grand Morbid Funeral, but the band has cut that wait down to four years this time around. Bloodbath has officially announced they're in the studio knocking out album #5 with a picture of Opeth drummer Martin Axenrot about to deliver the death metal.

For those unaware, Bloodbath is Axenrot, Paradise Lost vocalist Nick Holmes, and Katatonia's Anders "Blakkheim" Nyström on guitar and vocalist Jonas Renkse on bass. Bloodbath's Grand Morbid Funeral was its first with Holmes on vocals, who replaced Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt after his departure in 2012. It's also worth noting that ex-Katatonia guitarist Per "Sodomizer" Eriksson also left Bloodbath in 2017.

Don't forget to catch Bloodbath on its first-ever American tour this May either!
