Breaking In A Sequence have finally announced BC Vaught as their new permanent drummer. Vaught previously was an original member of (hed) p.e. and well as briefly touring with Breaking Benjamin. The band announced Vaught's appointment via statement and they seem truly jazzed by the addition.
"We are excited to announce that we have filled the vacant drummer position in B.I.A.S. Thank you to all of the drummers that reached out to us for auditions," the statement read. "It is very humbling to see so many talented players so eager to jam with us. Also, HUGE thank you to everyone else for the overwhelming amount of support for us to push forward. Please join us in welcoming BC Vaught to the band. BC is a SoCal/Orange County native and the original drummer of (hed)p.e. He recorded the first three albums, self-titled, Broke, and Blackout, respectively. He also played with Breaking Benjamin for the touring cycle of their We Are Not Alone album. It is truly and honor to have him in the band.
"We've spent the last couple months dialing in the songs and BC definitely has added his own flair. BUT most importantly… THERE IS STILL GROOVE. We all gel very well together and are all on the same page; gotta keep it fun! We're excited for this next chapter of the band and can't wait for everyone to hear it! Our first official show back will be on Saturday, November 5th for the Huevos Years Reunion at Backstage Bar & Billiards in Las Vegas, NV with Nonpoint, Mugg, and special guests. Also, we're stoked to have the one and only DJ Product from OG (hed)p.e. joining us on stage for our debut show!"
In June, former Korn drummer David Silveria announced he was leaving Breaking In A Sequence to spend more time with his family. At the time, the band wrote:
"David has made the tough decision to step down from the band to spend more time with his family. Words cannot describe what an honor it has been to play, write and share the stage with such an icon. Together, we created something to be proud of and in turn, rekindled the joy of playing just to play, in all of us. We wish our brother all the best in his future endeavors.
"Drum tracks for the next EP have been completed and David has given us his blessing to move forward without him. In the interim, we will continue production on EP3 and work to ramp up David's replacement. Thank you to everyone who has listened and supported us over the years. Let's give it up for Mr. David Silveria!"
Breaking In A Sequence released their latest EP Defy The Algorithm earlier this year. The band is currently bassist Chris Dorame, guitarists Joe Taback and Mike Martin, and vocalist Rich Nguyen. Grab the Defy The Algorithm here.
