2016 is just loaded with break ups, indefinite hiatuses, and deaths. So is it really surprising that another solid band is calling it quits? This time it's Philadelphia's Fight Amp, who has been bringing hardcore to the masses since 2004. If you're not familiar with the band, scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post and check out Fight Amp's latest album.
“Well here it is…
As of today we’re officially announcing that our November shows will be our last. Fight Amp is going on indefinite hiatus.
It’s been a long, strange, wild, educational, fun and sometimes painful journey and this is not a decision we made lightly or quickly. It may come as a surprise to a lot of you, but the three of us have been chewing on this for a while.
The timing just seems right at this point. We’re leaving on a high note with the release of our favorite Fight Amp record to date, Constantly Off, as our farewell album.
We can’t thank you all enough for riding this thing through with us. There’s enough stories, gratitude, lessons and history embedded in this band at this point that we could write a book on the topic.
Instead of a long-winded statement here we’ll let those things come out as time passes.
Without going into too much further detail we’re making this move to focus on other musical projects.
We’re lifers in this thing and we’re not going anywhere as musicians, so stay tuned for what’s to come.
As far as the new material we had written and started to demo… We’ll let that sleep for now.
It’s been real people. Thank you all so much for the continued support and we hope to see you in November to see Fight Amp one last time.
One fuckin love,
Mike, Jon, Dan
