Mushroomhead co-founding vocalist Jeffrey Nothing was known by many aliases, Jeffrey Hatrix, Jeffrey Nothing, JNo, Blue Velvet, Nothing, Jeff Hatrix – but from now on, he'll only be known as civilian Jeffrey Lewis Hetrick.
That's because he announced he's leaving Mushroomhead. The ex-frontman made this statement:
“I am coming to you today with a heavy heart to announce that I am leaving Mushroomhead. It is a decision that I did not make easily, but one I made for reasons that are best for me as an artist and musician at this juncture in my career.”
ThePRP notes that the band have shows scheduled as soon as March 17th at Music Lynxx in Mentor-On-The-Lake, OH. However, the band's official tour date listing on their Facebook page is not currently functioning.
The band have kept a relatively low profile while still actively touring, most notably playing last year's Gathering of the Juggalos. In 2015, they made headlines for jumping in on the confederate flag debate by releasing a rebel mask and also a tactical "war machine" vest.
With bad news such as this, it likely means Corey Taylor will never get his wish of a Slipknot, Mudvayne, Mushroomhead tour.
