Long-running punk rock band Anti-Flag appears to have broken up. Whoever runs the band's Patreon account posted on July 19 that they'll be issuing refunds now the band has ended, though further explanation was provided.
"Anti-Flag has disbanded," reads the post. "the patreon has been switched into a mode where it will no longer charge the monthly fee. i will begin to process refunds to all patrons in the coming weeks. once all refunds are processed the patreon page will also be removed."
Futhermore, it looks like Anti-Flag's website and Facebook account have been deactivated. This is especially pretty crazy considering Anti-Flag just released their new record Lies They Tell Our Children in January and was playing shows as recently as the Vainstream Rockfest 2023 in June.
Anti-Flag released their first album Die For The Government in 1996 and enjoyed a pretty successful, long career. And as someone who got into the band in the early 2000s, and had the pleasure of seeing them on Warped Tour back in the day, this definitely sucks. Thanks for all the punk, Anti-Flag. You were fantastic.
