Royal Thunder picked up drummer Evan Diprima around the time of their 2012 album CVI. Diprima has stuck with the band up until February of this year when he announces via a private post on his Instagram that he'd be leaving the band. Diprima says it was for his own reasons, and that he wishes the band all the best.
“Wishing @electrictonecult, @wfiore, @_meltoro_, and the rest of the @royalthunder camp the best. I will never forget the times we had, things we saw, and everything we learned together through the years.
It was time for me to move on for my own reasons but I will always be proud of what we accomplished and created together. Love you guys. Thank you to all the fans that have shown the band love from the beginning, I am excited to see and hear the next chapter!”
Royal Thunder has not yet commented on the issue, but they do have a tour coming up with Pinkish Black that starts on March 12. So either they've got a replacement in mind or they're going to have to find someone pretty quick!
