Last week, Buckethead reported that 10 of his guitars have been stolen. Buckethead called the theft a "tremendous loss" and said in a statement that he'll never be able to replace them. And while a handful are still missing, it appears that his white Les Paul has been returned.
According to a post on Buckethead's Facebook, a fan named Taylor Bellemare helped him recover the Les Paul. "I want to thank Taylor for helping to return this guitar to me," said Buckethead. "So many tears with so many emotions. I'm moved beyond. This guitar is very dear to me this letter is even more. There's so much good in the world. Thank you Taylor."
Buckethead also published the letter from Bellemare, which reads as follows. "Thank you so much for inspiring me to play guitar for the past 15 years. I am glad I could help you get your guitar back, This picture is from 2008 at the Rialto Theater in Tucson, AZ, where you used the guitar. The picture also shows me in the crowd. You gave me an R2D2 toy that you put up to your pick ups. I still have it and it is one of my fondest memories. Hopefully you can come to Tucson to play more Shows. I'd be honored to meet you. If there's anything else you need, let me know."
Buckethead is seeking any help from fans regarding the remaining stolen guitars, and asks them to contact [email protected]. No additional information is available regarding the guitars or their possible locations outside this one video.
"Ten of the most important guitars of life were stolen. It's a tremendous loss. I'll never really be able to replace them, but I'm looking for anybody who knows of any instruments that come close to these. Hopefully, somebody can help out. I'm trying to get 2 Studio Gibson Les Pauls. Please contact [email protected]. Thank you."
