ACID BATH Is Seeking A New Vocalist, Try To Recruit SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor

The bath just sits there, waiting for someone to get into it. Nobody does. Not since 1997.

The bath just sits there, waiting for someone to get into it. Nobody does. Not since 1997.

In 1997, Acid Bath dropped their last full-length record Paegan Terrorism Tactics and then split up. We've heard rumors about the group getting back together here and there but nothing substantial. On Tuesday, June 3, drummer Jimmy Kyle took to his personal Facebook to make the following post (to which I cannot link you specifically because I'm not friends with him):

Acid-Bath-FB-Vocalist-Search

Aside from the fact there's no specification as to where you're supposed to send the songs, between the signature and the post it looks like Dax Riggs is out of the picture completely. Couple that delay with the fact that guitarist Sammy Duet is super busy with Goatwhore and it looks like we're not seeing an Acid Bath reunion any time soon.

To make matters even more interesting, yesterday, Wednesday, June 4th, drummer Jimmy Kyle posted the following on Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor's Facebook page:

How's it goin my name is Jimmy Kyle. I formed the band AcidBath back in the 90's and I am trying to locate and speak with Corey . If I'm on the right track would you have some time to spare? Sincerely JK

JK as in Jimmy Kyle not just kidding! It seems like quite the stretch to assume Taylor has enough free time to take on another project, or if he's even heard of Acid Bath? Either way, imagine?
