David Lee Roth originally rescheduled his New Year's Eve and New Year's Day farewell shows to February 11 and 12, thanks to a COVID case within his band. Now according to the Review Journal, those dates along with the run between January 14 and 22, have been cancelled. No official statement has yet been made regarding the cancellation or about any rescheduled dates.
Roth originally announced his intention to retire from music last October, saying "I am throwing in the shoes. I'm retiring. This is the first, and only, official announcement." He also touched on the passing of Eddie Van Halen, saying he's been thinking about "the departure of my beloved classmate recently"
"I am encouraged and compelled to really come to grips with how short time is, and my time is probably even shorter. I thought I might have been the first, frankly … 'Hey Ed, objects in the rear-view mirror are probably me.' And my doctors, my handlers, compelled me to really address that every time I go onstage, I endanger that future."
