Mother Nature is not having it with California right now.

Mother Nature is not having it with California right now.

Mother nature is currently pissed, and taking out her vengeance on Northern and Southern California, as wildfires have erupted all over the state.

Some of the footage is truly apocalyptic. This looks like a video game, not real life. But it's not a video game, this is happening, right now in the United States:

Over a quarter of a million people have been evacuated, including notable rock musicians. Tool's Adam Jones, who lives near Malibu posted on Instagram that his family is safe, and has been evacuated:

“Thank you for all the concern love and support. *This is crazy & heartbreaking. God bless all those affected by these horrific wildfires. I hope our home survives. If not – it’s just “stuff” and I have my best friend Korin & our 2boys ???? safe & sound.”

Fred Durst posted on his Instagram page that his house has burned down in the fires. He had a sense of humor about the situation, posted a poorly Photoshopped photo of his head super imposed on Steve Martin's body in a promotional image from The Jerk (one of the greatest movies of all time, but I digress)

Durst's bandmate Wes Borland also lost some material items in the fire – his "pedalboard, two guitars, two amps, a 2×12 cabinet, several other pedals and miscellaneous equipment."

Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers noted his neighbor saved his life.  "My house might have burned down down last night were it not for my friend Eric who defied the evacuation orders and stayed up all through the night armed with his wits and a garden hose, and put out all the little fires at my house and my neighbors, saving our asses," he wrote in an Instagram post. "He is a brave and beautiful, a selfless and kind man."

All of these musicians are very lucky to be alive, as some Californians are sadly not as lucky.

There are many people far less fortunate than these rock stars that also lost their entire lives. Our thoughts are with everybody dealing with this in California right now. Those looking to help, and with the ability to do so can donate to the local firefighters with the info below, or donate to the Southern California Wildfire Relief Fund.
