Sometimes when you fly your own personal 747 around on your world tour, there could be problems. That's exactly what happened to Iron Maiden's Ed Force One. The plane was tethered to a tow truck at Comodoro Arturo Merino BenÃtez International Airport outside of Santiago, Chile and as it was being towed for refueling, a steering pin fell out, and the plane collided with the ground tug badly damaging parts of two of the engines and the undercarriage. The collision resulted in two ground tug operators being injured and taken to the hospital.
Iron Maiden have commented on the situation saying they are safe and no dates will be canceled:
