Dallas Taylor, vocalist of Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, was airlifted to a local hospital Tuesday and placed in intensive care after sustaining serious injuries on an ATV, according to his brother.

Taylor, who is also the former (and founding) vocalist of Underoath, was apparently riding without a helmet and struck a pole while at the family home in Ocala, Florida. The specifics of his injuries are unknown, but he is currently unconscious.

According to his brother Rhett, Taylor suffered "tons of broken stuff, Lacerations, internal bleeding and head injuries." He is expected to recover, but who knows what time of long-term issues he could be facing. He'll be in the hospital for quite some time.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Taylor's medical bills, with a goal amount set for $75,000, but that may not even be enough. My former neighbor suffered an injury like this while he was riding a horse, and he was never the same. It was not good.

Dallas and his family are in our thoughts. We hope you can pull though. Like your brother said, I hope you're as tough as John Jacobs.
